This is one of the nicest restaurant in the East Village. You can get dishes like C`sar salad with fried capers, tuna ceviche with curried potato chips, pan-roasted skate with potato pure, mesquite-smoked rainbow trout, and poppy seed-crusted salmon. Yes, fish--much of it smoked in-house -- is the big show here. But brunch dishes like the grilled flatbread sandwich with smoked turkey and gruyere showcase the non-fish possibilities. Early-bird prix fixe specials are $12.95.
If you try out Pisce`s, you`ll find a place that serves American dishes where patrons tend to favor seafood. Expect the average entrée to cost $12 to $20, and you should for the most part dress casual.
