The interior of this Indian row restaurant is charmingly elegant with carved green archways, burnished orange walls, chandeliers, and bright copper tabletops. A nice starter is dal papri (lentil fritters and chopped potatoes tossed with yogurt and sweet and sour sauce), and from the clay oven, tandoori shrimp with herbs and spices is delicious. Marinated chicken and lamb tikka are done well and all the breads are trustworthy -- especially the garlic nan. It`s received many kudos as the classiest place on the block.
Passage To India offers guests east Indian cooking. Expect the average entrée to cost $8 to $12.
