Old Milan is celebrated in black-and-white photos of street scenes, and modern Milan is represented in the food at this pleasant, slightly ritzy ristorante. Capriciously named for the Hollywood movie, owner/chef Paolo Lattanzi makes light house specialties to start like tuna carpaccio marinated in anise and red pepper, mixed grilled vegetables, and tortelloni soup with shrimp, mushrooms and coriander. Other choices are creamy risotto, pappardelle with truffle paste and mushroom sauce, and gnocchi with gorgonzola. Young Belmondo-types dot the room.
Go to Paper Moon for a restaurant that focuses on an Italian cuisine. Expect the average entrée to cost $12 to $20, and dress casual.
