This 19th century watering hole, filled with beautiful wood detail, lead crystal, ancient light fixtures and cramped red-checkered tables, has maintained its old New York charm. Hoity toity East Siders mix with the hoi polloi, noshing on world-renowned hamburgers, steak tartare (which is chopped fresh every hour), and nice salads. While the food is overpriced and probably won`t excite your palate, the restaurant offers a fun experience, especially for tourists. The bartenders are a proud, professional lot, and the place is filled with the smell of history.
Visit Pj Clarkes Bar and you`ll get a restaurant that concentrates on American meals. Expect to pay in the range of $8 to $12 per person.
Eating & Drinking: A full selection of alcoholic beverages are served. You`ll find that there a seated bar inside.
