Regis Philbin is a regular (his book "I`m Only One Man!" is on display everywhere, even nestled in a tower of fresh produce), and other recent visitors include Cindy Crawford, Brooke Shields and players from the Knicks. It`s a handsome room with Italian murals and a baby grand where jazz and old standards are played every night. Chef William Auerbach made his saute of chicken and shrimp with shiitake mushrooms and cognac on "Live with Regis and Kathie Lee." Other signature dishes are rack of veal with barolo sauce, and swordfish with sun-dried tomatoes and portobellos. The staff creates a hullabaloo for birthdays.
