There`s a conservative, old-school ambiance here, with rose walls and wine bottles stacked everywhere, catering to a restrained but appreciative clientele. The wine book is like an oversized Bible, with a collection of prized French, Italian and Californian labels, plus a handful of more familiar (and less expensive) choices. The best courses are penne with fresh tomatoes and portobello mushrooms, angel hair with crab meat, tomatoes and shallots, chicken breast with portobello mushrooms and white wine, broiled veal chop, and veal scallopine topped with prosciutto, mozzarella and roasted peppers.
Montebello Ristorante Italiano serves you an Italian cuisine. Expect the average entrée to cost from $12 to $20, and you`ll be fine if dressed casual.
