Here the specialty is cruelty-free vegan cooking, concentrating on dishes from southern India. The long, low-ceilinged room is basically unadorned and it rarely gets crowded, so it`s a good place to keep in mind for weekend nights. The dosai (crisp crepes filled with a melange of potatoes, peas and onions and served with coconut chutney) gets raves. Some other popular choices are dry vegetables (better than it sounds) with chick peas and pomegranate, spicy vegetable patties, and rice simmered with lentils and vegetables.
This restaurant dishes up east Indian and American food an emphasis on vegetarian meals. Expect to pay over $30 per person.
