The Turkish word for "seagull", Marti soars when it comes to beef and lamb kebabs, baked and stuffed baby eggplant, and hand-made phyllo-dough filled with ground beef and kasseri cheese, topped with garlic yogurt sauce. It`s good to start with pan-fried zucchini pancakes or phyllo-dough "cigarettes" filled with feta. It`s an elegant room of rose and apricot, with Turkish art and an antique samovar prominently on display. Finish with strong Turkish coffee and traditional, honey-soaked baklava.
Visit Marti and you`ll get a place that serves a Turkish cuisine. Expect the average entrée to cost $12 to $20, and people dress casual.
