Classic seafood is served in a room of handsome simplicity, with ceramic dishes, bare oak floors, and green patterned fabrics on burlwood chairs. Start with the shellfish "bouquet" (priced per piece), sardines escabeche, marinated anchovies, or clam chowder. Although the seafood menu changes daily, regular items include swordfish grilled with curried cream, mahi-mahi seasoned with Moroccan spices, and seared tuna with grapefruit and deep fried leeks. The wine list is first class, as are the dessert-cart offerings: creme brulee, banana and cream cheese cake, and chocolate tart.
This upscale establishment offers an American fare emphasizing seafood. Expect the average entrée to cost for the most part in the range of $20 to $30, and you`ll be fine if dressed casual, but fashionable.
