More "le limo" style than "le taxi," this cream-walled bistro is filled with mirrors and framed French posters, and caters to a well-coifed, Hamptonite crowd. Prices are geared toward the sort of people who wouldn`t be caught dead in New York in the summer. The food is seasonal and traditional, with appetizers like garlic sausage on brioche, a warm goat cheese salad, and celeri remoulade. Dinner`s main courses include roasted grain-fed chicken with mashed potatoes, sauteed sweetbreads with portobello mushrooms, aged sirloin au poivre with pommes frites, and braised monkfish in a lobster sauce.
Le Taxi is a fine dining bistro that serves French food. Expect the average entrée to cost between $20 and $30, and you`ll be appropriate if dressed casual, but fashionable.
