As we left, the waitress accosted my 81-year-old brother-in-law to complain that the tip he left was insufficient for her needs. He had intended to leave a higher percent but had miscalculated. His miscalculation led to humiliation in front of the entire population of the restaurant. Although I usually bring out-of-town guests to this local restaurant, I never will again.
