One of New York`s favorite French restaurants moved one block over. Everything familiar -- the vibrant seaside murals and cheerful claret-and-cream striped awning-covered bar -- is pretty and new again. Chef/owner Jean Jacques Rachou`s gracious hospitality and culinary genius inspire conviviality. For first courses, try the house-smoked salmon, wild mushrooms sauteed with oxtail, or seared duck`s liver in broth with Oregon morels. For main courses, the offerings include roasted cod and mashed potatoes with truffles, cassoulet with duck confit, and, although it is not listed, patrons can order Dover sole.
