Bring a nice bottle of French wine to this stupendous little bistro where the menu changes every night and all details are seen to in a friendly manner. Bread is to be repeatedly dipped in a pool of olive oil flavored with fresh dill, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper -- but be sure to save room for the bouillabaisse. The fare is mostly Provencal-inspired, with a spicy seafood combination plate, sirloin steak bordelaise, and, when in season, delicious soft-shell crabs and shad roe. Sweetbreads are done to perfection.
If you go to La Bouillabaisse, you`ll find an upscale restaurant that serves French meals where it`s common to order seafood. Expect the average entrée to cost between $12 and $20, and dress casual.
