The crowd is young and attractive and the scene is snappy-casual. Low ceilings, aquarium windows, a zinc bar, and select pieces of kitsch nestled in the curves of bare wood give Josie`s its George Jetson-meets-June Cleaver in the nineties look. The "earth friendly" menu here features items which are organic, dairy-free, and farm-raised. Popular entrees include vegetarian meatloaf, grilled yellowfin tuna, free-range marinated steak fajita, and sesame seared tofu stir fry. The juice bar offers everything from beet to tomato and watercress juice. The vegetable dip that accompanies focaccia bread and corn muffins is yummy. Low-fat desserts are memorable.
Visit Josie`s and you`ll get a restaurant that serves up an American menu with a menu based largely on vegetarian meals. Expect the average entrée to cost $12 to $20, and go dressed casual.
