A visit to this perennial favorite frequently involves waiting for a table, but service is swift, so you`re never waiting too long. While the decor is nothing special (some Thai art on the walls, and that`s about it), the food is terrific. As an appetizer, "dancing" shrimp (shrimp marinated in mint, onion, chile, and lemon juice, then served raw) is top-notch. Everything on the menu is pungent with spices, and, upon request, they`ll make your dishes hot enough to set you on fire.
Visit Jai Ya Thai and you`ll get an eatery that dishes up a Thai cuisine. Expect the average entrée to cost roughly $20 to $30, and go dressed casual.
