The Greek staff could not be kindlier at this pretty, whitewashed taverna with nautical touches and a skylit, plant-filled dining room in back. It`s got a true Athens feel and the food is the closest you`ll find to simple, homemade Greek cuisine. Several crisp, unusual Greek wines are on hand to wash it down. Fish is lovingly done, as is taramasalata, moussaka, and clay-pot roasted lamb. Their traditoinal pastries are superb.
Go to Ithaka for a restaurant that offers guests a Greek cuisine. Expect the average entrée to cost $12 to $20, and people usually dress casual.
