
Halcyon is a roomy and royal hotel dining room, with a ceiling frescoed with harlequins on light green and cream stripes. Starters include frisee lettuce with brie fondue and port wine reduction, tuna tartar with ginger, lime and coconut milk, and barbecued gulf shrimp with goat cheese and pear creme brulee. For main courses, Chef John Halligan serves grilled salmon with jicama, fennel and tangerine salad, red snapper wrapped in smoked bacon, and cinnamon roasted duck breast. The pre-theater menu is a good value and offers more choices than most.
