With a dark ambiance almost like a wine cellar, this is a romantic spot to exchange sweet nothings and drink a good bottle of French wine that`s been carefully chosen by owner and chef Andrew Nathan. He and his wife Belinda are hospitable hosts, drawing in faithful regulars again and again. The seasonal menu may have a roast organic beet salad with baby greens and goat cheese, a cote de boeuf for two with gratin dauphinois and sauce bearnaise, seared sea scallops with mashed potatoes, and farfalle with wild mushrooms and white truffle and porcini cream.
If you try out Frontiere, you`ll find an upscale establishment that focuses on northern Italian and French meals. Expect the average entrée to cost from $20 to $30, and dress casual.
Atmosphere: The lighting is fairly dark. The restaurant is very small, and is formal and relaxed.
