This cozy kosher deli and restaurant has been serving the Upper West Side for almost 70 years. Beyond the customary dishes like chicken soup (with matzo or kreplach), king-size sandwiches, and Hungarian goulash, the wide-ranging menu offers such items as kosher frankfurters with eggs, chicken chow mein, and Southern fried chicken. Dinner specials are available for $12.95 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. (take-out costs an additional $1.00). The Reuben sandwiches are made just the right way, with hot sauerkraut; and the pickles are delicious.
