This is a people-watching sort of bistro, meaning designer-clad men getting an eyeful of nubile women who can get away with wearing teeny skirts and jewelry clasped around their tan, bare waists. The food is pretty good, too, with baked tomatoes and goat cheese, a seafood and string bean salad in a light lemon vinaigrette, and baby penne sauteed with shrimp and artichokes in puttanesca sauce. More traditional specialties are coq au vin, steak au poivre vert with french fries, duck confit, and grilled tuna with oriental herbs. If there`s not enough action inside, there`s cruising at the sidewalk tables.
Ferrier dishes up French. Expect the average entrée to cost $12 to $20, and there`s a prix-fixe menu. Plan to dress casual.
