The bar at this bistro is extraordinarily pretty, the bottles stacked on shelves against an antique mirror. The walls hold cartoony framed posters for European car races, and a foosball game table is set up for the competitor in you. Sam Goldman`s seasonal food is mainly from the South of France, with specialties like monkfish medallions with bacon lardons and oyster mushrooms, duck breast with lingonberry sauce, and a côte de boeuf for two if you`ve got some time to spare--they warn that it takes 35 minutes. To start there are such classics as mussels, tuna with foie gras, and escargot with chili pesto.
