A lovely etched glass motif is carried out throughout this rustic, two-story Northern Italian treasure. Terra cotta floor and copper pots on the brick walls create charm, and there`s a skylit terrace and handsome private party room on the second floor. Owners Felidia and Felix Bastianich sometimes add a Slavic influence to the cooking, which consists of creamy risottos, crisp soft-shell crabs, pasta stuffed with pumpkin in a marjoram sauce, Istrian wedding pillows filled with cheese and flavored with raisins and rum, and osso buco with a celery and carrot sauce. The $27.50 lunch special is a fine deal.
