Fabled for decades as a literary haunt, Elaine`s is currently more of a tourist attraction. The atmosphere is created by low lighting, dark wood, and lots of book covers. If you`re not a regular the staff is detached and unwelcoming, and the somewhat overpriced food is, for the most part, nothing to write home about. Stick to staples like baked clams, spaghetti bolognese, and broiled veal chop. There are occasional celebrity and politico sightings.
This upscale restaurant prepares its guests Italian meals. Expect the average entrée to cost in the range of $20 to $30, and visitors generally dress casual.
Eating & Drinking: Open for dinner.A full selection of alcoholic beverages are served. You`ll find that there a lounge inside.
Details to Note: Reservations are accepted.
Ways to Pay: Cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club and Discover
