Gracious, cozy El Cid is magical. The pale blue tiles on the tabletops and bar reflect the merry glow of the little Christmas lights. And the delicious flavors of the tapas, paired with New York`s best sangria, perform witchcraft of the most delightful sort. Favorites include wonderful, Spanish-style potato salad, roasted eggplant with codfish, and mussels vinaigrette. Be sure to try the angulas, a delicacy of baby eels sauteed with garlic and olive oil.
