This lofty space has undergone many transformations the past few years, with the latest incarnation being a club-like lounge with easy chairs up front at the broad windows for those types who like being "seen." A raw bar features oysters, clams, ceviche, and seruga caviar, and for cooked starters the roasted portobello mushrooms and cornmeal calamari are popular. Chef Frank DeCarlo has a deft touch with risotto (wild mushroom or lobster), aged New York sirloin, and pan-seared salmon. There are also brick oven pizzas, and a pleasing pumpkin soufflTé that must be ordered ahead of time.
This place offers guests a Mediterranean cuisine where it`s common to order pasta. Expect the average entrée to cost $12 to $20.
