Mention Chanterelle to anyone who`s been there and here`s what you`ll hear: "Oh, I love Chanterelle," said in a voice laced with longing. The loft-like dining room, with its high ceilings, creamy walls, and a striking arrangement of fresh flowers, is both spare and warm. If there`s a wait for a table, the hostess will bring you a cocktail to sip on in the cozy bar area, where it feels like you`re relaxing in someone`s home. Chef David Waltuck`s menu changes every 6 weeks and his creations, which are inspired by cuisine the world over, are rooted in classic French techniques. The service, led by Karen Waltuck, is whip-smart. And, the wine list is carefully constructed, with very interesting and diverse choices that perfectly match the extraordinary food.
Here you`ll find a fine dining restaurant that concentrates on French and American dishes.
