On a block populated with amply pierced urban hipsters, the Capital Grille, an off-shoot of Capital Grille in Providence, RI, is an old-fashioned masculine haven for polished brass and red meat. Steaks, like dry-aged porterhouse, filet mignon, and sirloin, are the main draw but non-carnivores will also be satisfied with the fish selection that includes lobster, salmon and swordfish. Portions are huge and service is accommodating.
With a menu offering American food an emphasis on seafood and steaks, this is an upscale facility. Expect the average entrée to cost roughly $20 to $30, and dress casual, but fashionable.
Atmosphere: The restaurant has a classic wood finished décor. This is a white tableclothe restaurant. The restaurant has two dining rooms. It has a comfortable atmosphere and attracts a mature clientele. Table talk is no problem here - noise level is unobtrusive.
