Modern global cuisine put this beauty on the map four years ago. The restaurant, designed by Antonio Romano, is dressed up like a Pompeian villa, while the wait staff wears black Chinese outfits and the busboys "Make Food Not War" T-shirts. Chef Geoffrey Murray brings his own interpretation to traditional seasonal dishes like warm borscht, Vietnamese five-spiced grilled quail, and Thai rice flat noodles with poached rock shrimp. His 150-year-old Ottoman empire recipe for spinach ravioli comes stuffed with lamb and spiced with paprika.
If you try out Boom, you`ll find an eatery that serves you Asian and Continental meals. Expect the average entrée to cost from $12 to $20, and people generally dress casual.
