The name means "big crowd" in Italian which holds true here, almost suffocatingly so on weekend nights. It`s trendy because of Colombian artist Valentino`s vivid paintings covering the gold walls, and Luca Casadio`s party-pleasing food. He makes grilled calamari with eggplant, red beans and avocado, zucchini-wrapped shrimp with asparagus and mache salad, crepes filled with salmon, risotto with sea scallops, and spaghettini with New Zealand baby clams, garlic and white wine. There`s a lot going on in the room and service is a little too hovering, so if you want something relaxing go somewhere else.
Baraonda serves up Italian meals. Expect the average entrée to cost roughly $12 to $20, and dress casual.
