A casual trattoria where big names, the fashion crowd and a number of Europeans frequently gather, especially in the outdoor cafe in summer when the small space doubles in size. Unique dishes are taglierini with leeks, artichokes, garlic and olive oil, pappardelle with smoked bacon, cream, tomatoes and Parmigiano, penne with shredded veal, tomato and red wine, and fegato with calf¦s liver, sage and white beans. Broccoli rabe with Italian sausage and spinach sautTed with garlic and olive oil are also good. The affable Giovanni Tognozzi makes everyone feel comfortable and has chosen a wise and reasonably priced Italian wine list.
Here you`ll find a place that serves up Italian food. Expect the average entrée to cost $12 to $20, and you`ll be fine if dressed casual, but fashionable.
