Angelo`s of Mulberry, like so many of the Italian restaurants that face onto Little Italy`s Mulberry Street, caters to large-scale family dining. Angelo`s strives for a mixture of comfort and elegance, with its full bar, paintings of Italy lining the walls, soft lighting, and white tablecloths. Nothing about the restaurant stands out as particularly note-worthy: a fairly standard decor, crowds of tired tourists, a straightforward Italian menu, and a harried staff. But what it lacks in charisma and ororiginality, it compensates for in reliability and anonymity. You will not be denied a table at Angelo`s any more than you will be treated like a member of the restaurant family, an ideal situration for those who prefer their dining a bit less personal and more professional.
