Here it`s a futurist`s vision of plush: quiet, dark and dramatic with low, seductive lighting, lots of cushions, and no clutter. The lobby of Ian Schr`ger`s hotel/restaurant is like a long, sunken living room, arrayed with oversized, Alice-in-Wonderland-esque chairs. From the decadent vodka bar up front, the lobby extends like a runway into the restaurant. Sometimes called the Conde Nast dining room, beautiful people return for dishes like poached salmon tartar with fennel, capers, and avocado, and grilled tuna with medallions of foie gras. The lobby is a great place for a rendez-vous. The lobby menu ranges from eggplant caviar to grilled sirloin burgers
