Wildfire, which took over the site of Oprah Winfrey`s The Eccentric, belongs to the growing number of restaurants following the back-to-basics trend. Their claim to uniqueness lies in their cooking methods. The rotisserie, grill, and oven are all powered with roaring wood fires, which can be seen from every seat in the house. The dining room is dark and cavernous, its flagstone walls and floor giving it something of the appearance of a medieval hall with Prairie School accents. The menu offers comfortable, home-style, meat-and-potatoes-type meals. House specialties include pizzas, rotisserie pork and chicken, and baby back ribs.
Stop in Wildfire for a restaurant that focuses on an American cuisine an emphasis on seafood and steaks. Expect the average entrée to cost from $20 to $30, and visitors are quite appropriate when dressed casual.
Eating & Drinking: Open for lunch and dinner. The menu here at Wildfire is supplemented with daily specials based on seasonal freshness and availability. Click for a sample menu. Both beer and wine are served.
Details to Note: Reservations are accepted. Parking has been arranged for customers.
Ways to Pay: Cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club and Discover
