Offering their guests contemporary Pacific Rim and Asian an emphasis on seafood and variety, this is an upscale restaurant. Expect the average entrée to cost $20 to $30, and dress casual, but fashionable.

Atmosphere: The architectural design is very detailed. The facility has a contemporary and modern décor. The interior is accented by warm tones, enhanced by tropical flowers, and the lighting is soft. This is a white tableclothe restaurant, and structurally, the restaurant utilizes glass and windows.

The restaurant is spacious with high ceilings with seating for 198 people. It is contemporary and relaxed and frequented by a trendy crowd. Table talk is easy - this restaurant is quiet and subdued. Also, you`ll notice that there is a visible kitchen.

The menu here at Roy`s Boca Raton stays interesting and creative with daily changes that maintain style, variety and freshness based on availability and the time of year. The cuisine here is influenced by the childhood memories of the feelings and flavors of Hawaii, according to Roy Yamaguchi, internationally acclaimed Chef and Founder of Roy`s. Recipes have been considered ``Hawaiian Fusion`` cuisine -- a tempting combination of exotic flavors and spices mixed with the freshest of local ingredients. Some of the more popular menu items include: Original Blackened Ahi in Spicy Hot Soy Mustard Butter Sauce, Hawaiian Charred Butterfish with Lomi Style Tomatoes and Sizzling Soy, Teri Glazed Hudson Valley Duck Breast in Poha Berry Reduction and Chocolate Souffle.

A full selection of alcoholic beverages are served, and you`ll find that there is an excellent wine list. In addition, the establishment has a seated bar inside.

About the Chef: Founded by internationally acclaimed Chef Roy Yamaguchi who is Hawaii`s first James Beard Award Winner, Roy`s Restaurants set out to explore new directions – freely blending European techniques with familiar ingredients of Asia and the Pacific. The results are reflected in a truly contemporary style of cuisine. Coupled with a signature “aloha” style of service – straight from the heart with a sense of caring and individuality – Roy`s mission is to “totally please and indulge” every guest by providing a combination of good food and quality service. Yamaguchi is the host of the PBS show ``Hawaii Cooks With Roy Yamaguchi`` and is the author of ``Roy`s Feasts From Hawaii.``

The Management: Under the direction of award-winning Executive Chef Edgar Theisen, Roy`s Boca Raton Restaurant has won raves reviews. Chef Theisen began his career in his native Germany with a three-year apprenticeship at Zum Domstein. He worked aboard the Cunard’s prestigious ship the Queen Elizabeth II, Royal Viking Line and Seabourn Cruise Line. In Sweden, Chef Theisen served as Chef de Partie at the Operakaellaren, catering to Europe’s celebrities and royals. He spent a year in Alaska before relocating to the Hawaiian Islands where he worked alongside Chef Jean Marie Josselin at The Beach House –A Pacific Café. Chef Theisen then joined Chef Roy Yamaguchi last year at Roy’s in Poipu before moving to Florida, where he now presides over the creative culinary staff at Roy’s Boca Raton.
