Atmosphere: The architectural design is very detailed. The eatery has a traditional and classic late 1800`s - early 1900`s style décor with a jazz theme. The interior is accented by oak, enhanced by a neat memorabelia collection and flowers at the tables, and the lighting is warm. There are walls covered with photos, and classic brick completes the restaurants overall style.
The place has two dining rooms with seating for 150 people. It is comfortable and energetic and frequented by professionals and couples. Table talk is no problem - noise level here is moderate. Also, you`ll notice that there is an open kitchen.

About the Chef: Sean W. Kelly is the Executive Chef at Oakwood Bistro. Originally from Grand Rapids, Chef Kelly studied at GRCC Culinary School and has worked at many prestigious restaurants across the midwest.
