Located in the Brighton building which was built in 1894. The business was originally located next to a weight station for lumber coming from Canada and was called the South End Station, this is a fine dining dinner club. The restaurant prepares and serves a culinary Italian cuisine an emphasis on fish and steaks. Expect the average entrée to cost for the most part in the range of $12 to $20, and dress casual, but fashionable.
Atmosphere: South End Station is decorated in an Art Deco motif. The warm feeling of the restaurant will enhance your dining pleasure. You`ll be able to take in the well landscaped golf course view from many seats here.
Architectually, the restaurant is in an unusual structure. The establishment has an urban/art deco and eye catching 1920`s - 1930`s style décor with a jazz theme. The interior is accented by dark woods, enhanced by artwork that might rival a gallery collection and flowers and plants, and the lighting is soft. Tables are covered with linen tableclothes, and there are hardwood floors.
The restaurant is spacious with high ceilings with seating for 92 people. It is reminiscent and romantic and attracts a mature and classy clientele. Table talk is no problem - noise level here is moderate.

Eating & Drinking: Open for lunch and dinner. The menu here at South End Station changes about three times-a-year. The cuisine here is influenced by the cultural heritage of it`s owners. Many dishes are regional Italian family favorites. Greek style Lamb chops and exceptional Seafood and Veal dishes appear on the Special menu nightly. Seafood and Steaks are purchased three times weekly to ensure freshness and quality. Recipes have been considered original and unique. Chef Jim will accomodate all requests for items not on the menu if given time to procure items needed for his recipes. Some of the more popular menu items include: Lamb Chops, Stuffed Loin of Lamb and the excellent appetizer menu. Even the Veal Liver is Provimi Veal and of the highest quality found. All Seafood is Jet Fresh and the Steaks are all Center Cut.
A full selection of alcoholic beverages are served, and you`ll find that there is an excellent wine list. In addition, the restaurant has both a lounge and a seated bar inside.
Of Interest: Jazz Pianist Gary Schunk performs live Friday night as a solo act and with his trio on Saturdays through March. Tyrone Hamilton performs every Thursday and Friday until 1:00 am.
