Strings of red chilis, bleached Texas longhorn skulls, and old license plates are about all the decoration there is in this mid- South Street Southwestern watering hole. There are two floors of tables, but the bar area with the nearby stage is unquestionably where the "action" is. A full range of Southwestern "grub" keeps pace with tequila and other beverages typical to the area.
Abilene serves guests a southwestern American cuisine with a menu dominated by a tex-mex style. Expect the average entrée to cost between $12 and $20, and people are quite appropriate when dressed casual.
