Perpetually busy with students, shoppers, young families and neighborhood workers, this sunny, casual Belgian cafe is a wonderful spot to enjoy satisfying sandwiches like tuna with scotch bonnet pepper, traditional dishes like Flemish-style beef stew with beer and prunes, or just a croissant and strong coffee. People pass through a line at the counter and then jostle for a table or sit at a stool facing the window. It closes by 7 p.m. every day but their newer location on Hudson Street stays open for dinner.
If you go to Petite Abeille, you`ll find a place that focuses on Belgian food. Expect the average entrée to cost roughly $8 to $12.
Eating & Drinking: Open for breakfast and lunch -- not dinner.
Details to Note: Reservations are not accepted.
Ways to Pay: Cash, MasterCard, Visa and American Express
