Owners Mary Redding and Rebecca Charles modeled Pearl on another oyster bar they visited in San Francisco, and this little sliver of a place truly does resemble something commonly found on a coastal bay. It is sunny and sparkling clean, and the raw bar selections are fresh and exceptional. Scallop chowder, lobster rolls and Prince Edward Island mussels in mustard-white wine broth are offered along with a list of daily varieties of pan-roasted fish.
This bar focuses on preparing an American cuisine especially known for seafood. Expect the average entrée to cost between $20 and $30, and dress casual, but fashionable.
