East Side singles shed buckets of tears when Juanita`s closed, long a popular pick-up joint with potent margaritas and unsavory Tex-Mex dishes. In its place, Bistro Le Steak opened and although there`s energy, it does not draw in the same crowd, perhaps because the food is more important than the drinks. The old-fashioned wood bar and enclosed cafe seating remain, and family-oriented diners hone in on country pate, mussels with pommes frites, and five different types of juicy steak.
Le Steak serves you an American cuisine an emphasis on pasta, seafood and steaks. Expect the average entrée to cost for the most part in the range of $12 to $20, and you can go dressed any way you choose -- within reason.
