In this tony Carnegie Hill enclave it`s nice to find an unpretentious, pocket-friendly restaurant serving particularly tasty Italian cuisine and pizzas. The small cream-colored space has a variety of woven baskets on the wall, an intimate bar and pretty flower bunches on each table. Chef John Tesar, formerly of the hoity-toity 13 Barrow, has devised an accessible menu of linguine with artichokes, spinach, yellow squash, tomatoes and pesto-garlic broth; rosemary-scented chicken with sausage, spinach and creamy potatoes; and shellfish stewed in tomato broth with toasted garlic bread.
Visit Barcelona and you`ll get a restaurant that offers Italian dishes. Expect the average entrée to cost between $12 and $20, and you should generally dress casual.
Eating & Drinking: Open for lunch and dinner. There`s a weekend brunch for $12.95 per person.
Details to Note: Reservations are suggested on weekends. Delivery and carryout are available.
Ways to Pay: Cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club and Carte Blanche
