Lalime`s is in a little house on a narrow, busy street. Its pink walls showcase local artists` work, and the newsletters at the door attest to the restaurant`s commitment to organic produce, used innovatively by Chef Frances Smith. With this commitment, it`s no surprise that the eclectic menu changes regularly. Recent recommendations included sauteed lamb`s tongue, pork chops with juniper-berry glaze, and chipotle-rubbed flank steak. Service is friendly and refined, with the sort of relaxed attitude that attracts many people to Berkeley in the first place.
