Tony Angellos is an upscale establishment that serves patrons Italian meals. Expect the average entrée to cost over $20, and people generally dress up -- on the nicer side.
Atmosphere: The establishment has a wood finished décor This restaurant is patroned mostly by locals.
Eating & Drinking: Open for dinner. The cuisine here is influenced by Sicilian classics, with lots of tomato sauce, or ``red gravy`` as the locals call it. The best bet is to bring a gargantuan appetite, and whisper conspiratorially to the waitress, ``Feed me....`` A huge feast of seven courses of the day`s specialties, many of the dishes not on the menu, will have diners eating until they plead for mercy. Desserts are good, except for the cannoli, which have shells that resemble paper-maiche.
A full selection of alcoholic beverages are served, and you`ll find that there is a good selection of wines. In addition, the restaurant has both a lounge and a seated bar inside.
Details to Note: Reservations are suggested. Free parking is available for customers.

Tips on Finding: The restaurant is on the corner of Fleur de Lis Dr. and a major Lakeview cross street, Harrison Ave. If coming from the French Quarter, take Canal St. past the cemeteries and turn left on Harrison Ave.
