A favorite on Devon Avenue, Moti Mahal is a great place to visit while browsing through the sari stores, Indian video shops, and markets in the neighborhood. The decor of fake wood paneling, vinyl-backed chairs, and obligatory posters of Hindu statuary leaves something to be desired, but the menu, although it features the standard array of northern Indian dishes, is quite satisfying. Recommended items include tandoori chicken, butter chicken, vegetable biryani, and sag paneer. And, there are a number of delectable sweets to sample for dessert.
Here you`ll find a restaurant that offers east Indian cooking. Expect the average entrée to cost under $8.
