About the Chef: Anne Kearney has learned from some of the best people in New Orleans, including Emeril Lagasse and the original chef/owner of Peristyle, Bill Neal. Kearney`s food is sophisticated, but still retains the basic honesty of unpretentious bistro fare. Though tourists who know food love the place, it is not a touristy restaurant.
The Management: The management has recovered splendidly from last year`s disastrous fire, recently re-opening in summer 2000. Chef Kearney used the renovations to redesign her kitchen, while the lovely intimacy of the dining room was kept intact. Peristyle`s numerous fans say it`s now better than ever.
