The "Med," as it is known locally, is the hang-out of choice around the campus of the University of Chicago. Students of all ages and professors of every rank sip coffee or dig into a pizza or burger in one of the restaurant`s graffiti-covered booths. The hamburgers here are huge and juicy, but may be overshadowed by the deep-dish "garbage pizza" which, as its name implies, lack nothing but restraint.
If you go to Medici On 57th, you`ll find a restaurant that focuses on preparing American meals. Expect the average entrée to cost under $8.
