The Management: The English family has operated Mandich`s since 1947, when it was basically a bar with a little bit to eat. It`s been a restaurant since the 1950s, and it`s one of the best hidden gems to be found in New Orleans dining today. The best lunch spot in town.

Tips on Finding: For visitors leaving the Quarter, turn right on Rampart and head downriver. Rampart St. will imperceptibly turn into St. Claude Ave. Keep going past the used furniture stores and across the railroad tracks. Mandich will be on the right.
