Best known for Floridas finest fresh seafood and crabs, this crab-house dishes up a southeastern American cuisine an emphasis on crab and seafood. Expect the average entrée to cost roughly $8 to $12, and you can dress any way you choose -- within reason.
Atmosphere: Crabby Bill`s The Loder family first became involved in the seafood restaurant business in Pinellas County in 1975. Bill ``Crabby Bill`` Loder had been selling crabs on the side of the road in New Jersey. His store was a truck (must be where he got the idea of ``fast`` food). He had also owned a restaurant in New Jersey as long ago as 1968.
Bill and his wife Dolores, learned quickly to exploit child labor. All of their five children worked with them in their restaurants. Most of the family members are still active in the restaurants today, as are their spouses and children! Many of our customers can tell you how they have watched Bill`s children grow up and are now watching his grandchildren assisting in the operation of the restaurants.
Crabby still has an active part in the daily operations of all the restaurants, but for the most part you will see his children and grandchildren every time you come into one of the Crabby Bill`s Seafood Restaurants. You`ll be able to take in the view of Gulf of Mexico from many seats here. The restaurant has an eye catching décor with a nautical theme. The lighting is moderate.
The place has several dining rooms. It is friendly and festive and patroned by all kinds of people. Table talk is no problem here - noise level is unobtrusive. Also, you`ll notice that there is an oyster bar.
