When it first opened, Zarzuela was universally praised for its Spanish tapas and inviting decor. Lately, the reviews have been mixed. The sauces, for example, have garnered opinions ranging from "delicately seasoned" to "out of a Campbell`s soup can." Still the atmosphere is warm and the tapas can be wonderful: try scallops on a bed of wilted greens, and grilled summer vegetables with a lemon vinaigrette. For entrees, they serve a pretty good p`lla.
Here you`ll find a place that serves up Spanish cooking. Expect to pay $12 to $20 per person.
Atmosphere: Table talk is no problem here - noise level is unobtrusive.
Eating & Drinking: Open for lunch and dinner. You`ll find that there is a good selection of wines.
Notable Mention: One of San Francisco`s better restaurants.
