24 hours a day, 365 days a year, one thing is certain; 13 Coins will be open and serving from its entire menu. The dim lights and 70s style fixtures and decor have become unusual in the bright, airy, minimalist 90s, but the place feels comfortable and familiar. For an intimate meal there are high-walled private booths, and if you`re in the mood to be entertained, snag one of the high-backed leather swivel seats at the chef`s counter where you can evesdrop on kitchen banter and witness culinary pyrotechnics as you watch your dinner being prepared. Favorite items include French onion soup, eggs benedict, and chicken parmesan. There will be a special traditional Christmas menu with all the trimmings served on the 25th.
Thirteen Coins is an upscale restaurant that serves American and Continental dishes with a menu based largely on seafood. Expect the average entrée to cost in the range of $12 to $20, and dress casual.
